Colleen is 18 months old today. She is so grown up and such a baby all at the same time. If you give Colleen a piece of cheese or banana she will get out a plate to put it on. She will also get out her cup and hold it up to the sink or refrigerator depending on what she wants. Last week when we took Emily to the Dr. (ear infection) Colleen started screaming when we went into the exam room. I finally realized she was remembering her appointment 3 weeks earlier when she got 4 shots and blood taken. Sometimes I think I just don't realize how much she takes in because she doesn't talk. She definitely understands. If you mention shower or bath she starts pulling at her clothes and running to the bathroom. When you say, "Daddy's home!" she runs to the door. Then for the rest of the evening she wants Daddy to hold her and screams if I try to take her. Colleen is a Daddy's girl through and through.
Today was her first day in nursery. She cried when I left, but when I picked her up they said she had done really well - the best in her group in fact. Not that that is saying much because all of the new crying 18 month olds are in her group - but a good start!
