Burns and Quilts

While canning yesterday, I tipped over the HUGE pot of boiling water and burned Colleen, Becca and myself.  Becca got the worst of it and one of her hands is a mass of blisters.  She is feeling better and happy today, but her hand and knees will stay wrapped up until they start to heal.  Thankfully, we only have to change her wraps morning and night, because I cry every time I see her poor hands.  I don't think I have ever been as freaked out about an accident or more grateful for the help of friends and neighbors.

On a happier note, this month I am having "Quick & Easy Charity Quilt Month" at my other blog Sewn by Leila.  Stop by and help spread the word if you would like.  FYI - Charlotte made my new banner.  Nice and professional, eh?

So, so, so sorry!!!
A similar thing happened to my mom and scalded Barry. She still recounted the experience with sadness years later.Neil's hand was so badly burned after he stuck scissors in the oven light switch. Hope all of you can rest and heal quickly!

Oh, Leila! I'm so sorry--I know this was way last Fall, but I'm sorry for your mommy-guilt . . . like we don't have enough things to feel guilty about (though we shouldn't, and though we TRY not to) already.
