March 5 - note the sucked in lower lip, a classic pose
Becca is 6 months old ... well, almost 7 months months old.
- She weighs 17 lbs and some odd oz. (75th percentile)
- Plays well on her tummy.
- Pushes herself backwards.
- Can hold herself in a great plank pose on her toes for almost 30 seconds.
- Does not like "real" food so is still exclusively breast feeding.
- She can sit up for a few seconds by herself and can sit up on your lap indefinitely.
March 15
- She will hang out in her exersaucer for long periods of time - sweet.
- She is still waking up during the night - not sweet.
- Three recent ear infections plus 6 month shots equaled waking up every two hours for quite a few weeks, but we seem to be back to every 3-4 hours, knock on wood.
- She had 36 hours of fever after her shots - she is the only one who has had a bad reaction to shots.
- She love to smile and will smile at everyone.
Feb 22
- She went with me to QuiltCon in February and was sooo well behaved - her late bedtime 10-11 pm was handy for once.
- Everyone gushed all over her at the conference.
- I also noticed at the conference that she recognized her name.
- She is now going to bed at a better 8 pm time.
- She is starting to like Daddy better than Mom - it always hits at around 6 months. I figure it is because Brian will carry them around everywhere and I don't do that.
- She is less drool-y now than she was at 5 months.
- Her plugged tear duct is also less goop-y.
- Don't you love that dimple?
- She has developed a nasty habit of opening and closing her hands as she nurses - ie she scratches my arms and breasts up with her sharp little fingernails if I am not careful. Too much info? :)
- Her sisters love playing with her and she puts up with them hauling her around well.
- She is napping less often. For awhile she was only taking two half hour naps during the day, but now she is taking longer naps again - maybe it was the ear infections?
- Her favorite toys are the girls small play cups. She loves to chew on them until they roll away.

What a cutie! Can hardly wait until you're here!
Those eyes! She is irresistible! I well remember the breast-scratching/squeeze-pinching phase that all my kids went through. Ugh. I don't think it's too much information--it's just being a mom.
I love these sweet milestone posts!
OH she looks like the baby in Baby Dear, by Eloise Wilkins...
Too Cute!
