Photo Shoot

Last Sunday Emily took the camera out and took pictures of Aleah on the swing.  They all turned out well and I thought I would share some of them with you and tell you a bit about Aleah.  No editing has been done on any of the pictures-they were all really that good.

Aleah does not like to get up in the morning.  She has been much better this school year than last, but she is a slow waker-uper and would ideally get 12 hours of sleep each night - plus an hour of down time to adjust to waking up.  Alas, she goes to bed at 8pm and has to wake up at 6:45am and be out the door at 7:20.

She doesn't like scary things.  Scary things can include any stressful or tense situation in a book, movie or life.  She skips the chapters in Harry Potter where they sneak out or get into trouble.  You can read Harry Potter pretty quick if you skip all of the parts where they are being naughty.  :)  And she and the other girls regularly run out of the room if there is a tense part in the cartoons they are watching - it is rather funny.

She has the most loving heart and never ending need for cuddles, hugs and snuggles.  She could snuggle all day.

She gets really focused at times - ie you really have to speak loudly multiple times to get her attention - especially when she is listening to books on tape (Harry Potter and Narnia) and reading books.  This summer she would disappear for hours listening to books in her room.

Aleah is really one of the happiest kids ever.  When she smiles she just beams and is always ready to talk to anyone and be their new friend.

That's all for now, Aleah has left the building...

Some other pictures Emily took.  I can't believe that the grass has greened up so well.  A few weeks ago it was a dead brown mess.

And just so no one is left out, here is Colleen....

...and Kate with her new hair cut.  (Picture and haircut by me - hair was cut under duress, but it needed to be done and is so cute and easy to take care of now.  I took a good 4-5 inches off!)

And a self portrait of the wonderful photographer.  Emily said I could post this picture and I figure if you make funny faces in 99% of the pictures taken of you, you get what you get.  :)

Oh my goodness she fabulous! Aaron said we should book her to do our family photos, hehe. They are quite amazing and I especially love the lighting and the closeup of Aleah looking down. Good job Emily!
