Sew Mama Sew Giveaway!

Now Closed!  For another of my giveaways that is still open click here.

I am excited to be participating for the first time in the Sew, Mama, Sew!  Giveaway Day.  I recently won one of my first giveaways and thought I needed to spread the love.  What do I love?  Dots.  Recently I have been drawn to dots - all shapes and sizes.  There are so many good ones out there!

I thought I would share a starter pack of basic dots - 5 fat quarters in a rainbow of colors.  Just leave a comment telling me what your favorite type of fabric is.  I will pick a winner by random on the morning of May 26th.  International entries welcome!

P.S.  I currently have another giveaway running to kick off the We Can Do It! Skill Builder Sampler.  Up for grabs are some Denyse Schmidt fabric and Japanese prints.  Click here for more info.

My stash is such a conglomeration of styles, colors, themes, eras. I love dots--my husband says we should put a polka dot fabric in every quilt and make it our look, and I practically do. But I couldn't identify a favorite...and now I'm feeling worried about why...is it wrong to love it all?

Well, I usually work with quilting cotton and upholstery, but I am dying to try some voile or linen! I have a feeling that voile would quickly become a favorite.

Chrissy said...

I am a huge fan of florals, especially the more modern looking ones. I learned recently that I may have inherited my love of florals from my grandmother, who had always wanted to learn to quilt (and bought a bunch of fabric - mostly florals), but never learned. Now her health is not good enough to be able to sew by hand or machine, so she passed on her florals to me. I hope to make a quilt for her out of them!

Sharon said...

Jennifer said...

I have been into clean prints lately-- no muddy colors, a very modern look... although you can't go wrong with a great stripe or dot either! And is it totally weird that my favorite fabric to look at is the home dec fabric, even though I NEVER know what to make with it (besides, like, upholstered stuff and curtains). Something about it's weight and the way it is woven gives it a little something-something that regular quilting cotton doesn't have. Yeah, okay, that is weird ;)

Diane H said...

Currently I've been collecting Civil War prints.
Thanks for a chance.
